Welcome to my kitchen, the Queen Bee’s Kitchen. Thank you for reading my blog. I have been wanting to do this for some time but was hesitant to get started…maybe because I wasn’t sure if anyone would read what I wrote. But you know what? It doesn’t matter. I am doing this because I want to share my love of cooking, the happiness I get from cooking for friends and family, my quest for finding new cuisines and trying them out on my very willing teenage daughter (ILY Mini) and my sheer giddiness when I find a new, really cool gadget or unique food store. My blog will be a collection of recipes, kitchen and cooking tips, gadget recommendations, food history and information, money-saving ideas and DIYer’s to save you both time and money.
The name comes from a nickname I have somehow wound up with in most of my jobs, including my present job, throughout my adult life. I was really struggling to find a name, but it seemed that the harder I tried to think of one, the more”made-up” and not me they seemed. Then one day one the news there was a story about a boat that capsized in Nantucket, floated away and three years later washed up on the shores of Spain – the name of that boat was the “Queen Bee” – that’s it! I am the Queen Bee, or so I am called, and it just seemed to fit – and voilà! I finally had a name and could start my blog!
I hope you will enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy putting it together. My intent is to give you worthwhile and interesting information to make your time in the kitchen more productive and most of all fun and rewarding. I hope you will ask me questions, make comments or try my recipes. But more than anything, I hope you find something and that it makes you want to cook a delicious meal for yourself or a loved one… Enjoy! ❤, 👑🐝
